Sunnybank is a detached, modernised bungalow located in a picturesque rural environment approximately six miles from Gloucester city centre and the nearby Forest of Dean. The home supports older or middle-aged people with learning disabilities and associated complex needs, including eating disorders and Prader Willi Syndrome.
Accommodation in the main bungalow includes three single, ensuite bedrooms, a lounge and dining area, conservatory, bathroom and kitchen. An annexe building offers a large bedroom/sitting room, bathroom and small kitchen for someone who prefers a more independent environment. Sunnybank has large, safe gardens and there are picturesque views over the Forest of Dean and the hills beyond.
The staff at Sunnybank maintain an active, enabling role within a friendly, homely environment. Everyone is encouraged to increase their independence, continue education at the local college and seek appropriate employment, which is the key goal for those living at the home. Residents also enjoy the responsibility of owning and looking after pets.
