An established specialist care provider

Choice Care is a leading specialist care provider for people with learning disabilities, autism, mental health conditions and associated complex needs. We offer expertise across a wide range of specialisms, including support for people with behaviours that challenge. We are at the forefront of national best practice, with an outstanding reputation and amongst the highest CQC ratings of any comparable organisation in the country.

Choice Care is a proven provider with over 25 years’ experience in specialist care. We began offering services for people with learning disabilities and complex needs in 1992. Since then, the organisation has grown significantly, through strategic acquisition and by investing in new homes, to create the Choice Care Group. Today, we are one of the UK’s foremost specialist care providers, operating over 60 residential homes and a variety of supported living services across the South, South West and West Midlands.

We are a professionally managed, financially responsible organisation with a strong commercial record and a history of investment in service quality and innovation. As a responsive partner, we aim to evolve alongside the changing needs of all our stakeholders. We work closely with local authorities and healthcare services to identify trends and analyse future requirements, developing and configuring new services in anticipation of local demand.

Specialist care services

We care for a wide range of individuals, many of whom face highly complex challenges. To meet their needs, we offer a comprehensive set of service options from high acuity residential care to more flexible supported living solutions.

Our residential homes provide safe, supportive and therapeutic living environments, equipped to the highest standards, including unique specialist facilities, such as our annexes. Our supported living services offer specialist care and assistance to those living in rented accommodation or their own homes.

We deliver consistently high levels of quality across all our services, carefully tailored to the specific needs of the people we support. We measure success through individual outcomes and have a proven track record of helping people to move on from a residential setting to a more independent lifestyle as their needs evolve.

Personalised care, tailored to the individual

At Choice, we treat everybody we care for as an individual, with dignity and respect, empowering people to lead happy, fulfilled lives and, where possible, to achieve positive outcomes. Across all our services, this approach means everyone gets the support they need to progress at their own pace.

We work together with those we support, and their close network, to arrive at the key decisions that affect their lives. Together, we agree personalised care plans and desired outcomes, and then support everyone to achieve what’s important to them. For some that might be learning to cook meals and plan menus, developing a new skill or building the confidence to use public transport, for others it could be continuing with education or finding voluntary or paid work.

Care quality

Quality of care, good governance and the delivery of successful outcomes are fundamental to our purpose and embedded in the ethos of the organisation. Our care and safety standards exceed statutory requirements and are underpinned by rigorous internal and independent audit processes.

All our services are managed and run by highly-experienced, exceptionally motivated people, dedicated to the needs of those they care for. Care teams are led by accomplished registered managers, supported by fully-trained social care workers and our in-house positive behaviour support specialists.

Choice Care is large enough to have the expertise, experience and capabilities to provide best-in-class care, while retaining a structure that allows us to get to know everyone we care for individually, planning our support around their particular challenges and goals. We expect and achieve the best for those we support, and that includes continually improving and challenging ourselves.
